GROOT Claymation/Stop Motion Animation

This claymation was created with direction and help from my five year-old-daughter using Stop Motion Studio on the iPad. The materials used were clay, poster board, markers, googly eyes, flowers and a mesh bag. It took us four hours.

When you do a film with a younger student, it is important to really work with them on what they want to have happen before they begin taking photos. It's also important to keep it simple.

My daughter loves the baby dancing Groot (despite not having seen Guardians of the Galaxy), so we decided to try to recreate the dance using claymation. I strongly suggest recreating a fun dance scene for a first stop motion animation project.
